Leading monitor manufacturer’s iiyama joined forces with gaming professionals Team Dignitas and MultiPlay to exhibit at the biggest UK gaming event of the summer – Insomnia 40.
i40 was a four day gaming-fest hosted by MultiPlay and held at Newbury Racecourse over the August Bank holiday. It attracts thousands of game enthusiasts and amateur and professional teams alike over weekend.
iiyama UK representative, Steve Kilroy says, “This is the second time we have exhibited here and we’re delighted with the response from the audience here. The name iiyama holds much more significance within this industry than it ever has before and, with the help of an attending reseller partner, have made sales not only during the weekend but no doubt in the future.”
The iiyama stand held a 4v4 Cal of Duty 2 Tournament from Saturday onwards where the winners Team 1332, walked away with a ProLite E2209HDS display each. There was also a Multi-touch monitor competition throughout the weekend where visitors simply entered their details on-screen to be in with a chance of winning the ProLite T2250MTS.
In addition to the competitions, there was a wide range of monitors on display including the latest LED backlit monitor, ProLite E2472HDD. They also supported Team Dignitas with a range of monitors for their stand. Team Dignitas Limited formed in 2003 and now one of the best professional gaming teams in the industry, choose iiyama monitor’s as their preferred display for gaming and earlier this year welcomed iiyama as one of their sponsors.
